Gabe and Star got married in the month of September of 2022. Gabe and Star exchanged messages on Facebook for a couple months beginning of 2019.The conversations online quickly turned to in person conversations a few months later. The two met up for Mexican food in Wake Forest, NC. As Star put it in her own words after the two met in person, “It’s been history ever since.” Gabe and Star soon fell in love and got engaged in August 2021. Star states that Gabe snuck up and with no inclination got down on one knee and proposed. Gabe said to Star, “I am committed to you, us, and want you to be my wife.”
The two exchanged vows at the beautiful Lake O’ The Woods Estate in Warrenton, NC. Lake O’ The Woods Estate is a fully renovated and restored 1850’s Estate Manor house that is over 6,000 square feet. This house presents an “at home” atmosphere and welcomes southern hospitality.
When I arrived to the venue I was blown away by the home and property as soon as I pulled up to the Estate. Trish, the owner of the Estate, met me and showed me a bit of the home before I met up with Star. Star was upstairs in one of the suites surrounded by her family and everyone looked so stunning and beautiful. Hair and Makeup was done by MB Luxury Makeup and Hair Artistry of Louisburg, NC.
The ceremony began at 3 p.m. on a beautiful September Saturday. The bridal party walked in and stood on the steps of the front of the Estate. The star of the show, outside of our bride Star, was the adorable flower girl being pulled down the aisle in her little wagon. Next up, Star came in and definitely was breathtaking. Emotions were high as she walked down the aisle with her father to meet her soon to be husband. Both Star and Gabe decided to wait until the ceremony for their first look and it was perfect! I could see the love and excitement from the both of them and all of their friends and family. Star and Gabe had a very sweet and intimate ceremony that included hand written vows to each other. The ceremony lasted about 30 minutes and it was flawless!
Guest were able to enjoy cocktail hour as I took Gabe, Star, and the bridal party for some photos around the property. Once formal photos were done, I set up at the reception to capture the newlywed couple being announced in for the first time as husband and wife. The two walked in to the reception area which was located in the backyard of the Estate that has a gorgeous pool view and a beautiful lawn. The Estate is nestled on 100 plus acres of green land.
Gabe and Star were welcomed in as husband and wife and shared their first dance as a married couple. After the first dance, dinner was served. Dinner was catered by Henderson Smithfield which included some good southern food, all the way down to the hushpuppies. Gabe and Star made their rounds to each table to speak and mingle with their friends and family who showed support of their beautiful union. A moment that I cannot let go undocumented was Gabe and Star cutting the wedding cake. Once the wedding cake has been cut, traditionally the groom feeds the bride and the bride feeds the groom. Well, Gabe feed the cake to himself. Truly hilarious. There were many memorable conversations shared, laughs, and dancing that I was honored to capture before leaving the wedding of Gabe and Star.
