Andie’s Bridals

July 3, 2019

Kala and I would like to consider ourselves adventurers. With photography we get to go to stunning places. In NC we get all the wonders from the beaches to the mountains and everything in between. When Andie told us she had a spot on her family’s land she would love to have her bridals photos taken at we were excited, but didn’t know what adventure we were in for (especially me).

Poor Dale, Cory’s dad, tried to warn me, but through ignorance or just not completely seeing the big picture ….or mountain in this case… I didn’t listen.

So there we were with our “compact SUV” stuck in a valley of what had to be the tallest mountain in the Western Hemisphere that appeared out of nowhere (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it). I must have missed the “4 Wheel Drive Only” sign, but we had a gorgeous bride that still needed to be photographed and the daylight burning, so we jumped in the back of the truck and rode the rest of the way up like true Mountaineers.

When we got to the top we had the most amazing view. The spot had rolling hills of tall grass and a stunning mountain range sitting in the distance. Then Andie rocked her session. Her dress was amazing with a striking train, lace, and the most fairy tale flower crown ever! She was a compete natural, made our job so easy, and looked like the most picturesque bride.

When the golden hour started Andie surprised us with a new location we ventured down just a bit, where we were able to capture some of our favorite bridal images EVER! With Andie’s elegant gown, the sunset, and her beautiful bouquet arranged and designed by The Perfect Day, it seemed as though we were able to peer in on a moment from Disney Royalty.

By the way I have to tell yall, Benadryl a lot of Benadryl is now in my camera bag, something in that field and myself didn’t mix. My face itched, my eyes swelled shut, and I couldn’t stop sneezing. Yall I came out of that field looking like Will Smith in the movie Hitch during his allergic reaction to nuts. If you’ve never seen it you can catch that scene here, to get a glimpse as to what I looked like!!

We are soooo excited to share these! Also we want to give a huge shout out to Dale who got a tractor, towed us out of our tight spot and gave us a good story to tell. We also can’t wait to show yall Andie & Cory’s Wedding Day from Taylor Made Farms!! One word….WOW!! In the meantime we would like to wish them the best on their new adventure.
